Unpad Pangandaran Campus
Driven by a strong commitment to enhance the quality of exceptional human resources in West Java, the PSDKU Unpad campus in Pangandaran was established in 2016. This campus represents a tangible contribution of Universitas Padjadjaran to the West Java province. The selection of Pangandaran Regency as the location for the PSDKU Unpad campus was based on the fact that this regency is among the youngest in West Java, endowed with various potentials, including its capacity as a tourist area. If well-developed, this potential is expected to be competitive on a global scale. However, on the other hand, Pangandaran faces challenges in the field of education, particularly regarding the Gross Enrollment Rate in Higher Education (APK-PT) which is relatively low. This has become one of the obstacles in the process of developing Pangandaran's potential.
The development of the PSDKU Unpad campus in Pangandaran is currently being carried out in stages. The buildings to be constructed include an academic building, laboratories, a student activity center, a mosque, student dormitories, sports areas, faculty housing, and lodging facilities for the public. The PSDKU Unpad campus in Pangandaran, located in the highlands, will be equipped with open space facilities such as gardens, forest walk trails, and observation decks.
The presence of the Off-Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) in Animal Husbandry at Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) is believed to bring higher quality educational services closer to the community while also being capable of developing regional potential that impacts the improvement of community welfare, especially in the field of livestock development and potential enhancement.
